19 months old

it's been awhile since i posted, ethan is growing up fast now. he's approaching 20 months old and is a rascal little boy. or a typical little boy i should say. he can say some words now, like: dad, mom, shoes, up, hot and he just started saying ant. we're trying to get him to say, grandma, grandpa, papa, aunty. he just came back from vegas and we found out that he really really likes hotel rooms. he goes crazy, jumping on the bed screaming and yelling, banging on the window to look outside. he seems to be learning or picking up new things every week. it's been a lot of fun watching him grow up.

Ethan's 1st Birthday Party

it's been awhile since the last post. ethan's BIG birthday party is now behind us. which he had a lot of fun at. seems like he knew it was actually his party, weird. that kid is funny and keeping us on our toes for sure.

Ethan is 1 year old!

ethan turned 1 year on 2-24-10. time flys by as a parent. he making some noises that kinda sound like words but we're not sure yet. he went to the doctors the day after his birthday and had a very good checkup. he did great with his 5 shots. cried a little but forgot about it quick. his doctor said he's making progress in his height. hopefully he can keep that up so he can be taller than his dad. grandma and papa choo got him a cake and that's ethan with frosting on his hand(pic). big birthday coming in april.

the Kikuta's come to hawaii!

our friends from california came to visit last week, the kikuta's. kelly and steff, they have two sons: kole and shane. the last time they came was for our wedding over 3 years ago. on this trip they spent their time relaxing with no plans. we did get to do some stand up paddle boarding with leighton and his kids: carson and alyssa. kole and shane got to fly their kites at kapiolani park. on the last night we had dinner at Buca Di Beppo and played games at D&B. good times! can't wait till they can come again so i can play golf with kelly and steff. i want to see steff beat kelly.

ethan can walk

and 9 1/2 months later, ethan is now walking. his doctor predicted he would start walking by 9 months and he was right. he shows funny mannerisms and still screams randomly on occasion. i guess his personality is starting to show. he didn't care much for santa at kahala mall, but stayed still long enough for some pictures. i'm thinking he's going to get a lot of toys for christmas. check later for my next post.

Halloween!

it was ethan's first halloween and we decided to dress him as a monkey. i think it was fitting for him, since he acts like one right now. he crawls all over the place and he can stand for a few seconds now. this little monkey is growing up fast! check out his dad's scary pumpkin. that's trey next to ethan. he had an awesome stormtrooper costume that his mom found.

Ethan-8 months

ethan made 8 months this past saturday(yesterday). and he's getting to be really rascal now. he found his crawling skills a few months ago and he's getting faster at it. he's always been curious, so crawling and curious mixed together means alot of running around for mom and dad. he went to his first gymboree class on saturday and he had so much fun. in fact, ethan had so much fun that we signed him up for more classes. we'll see how it goes. gymboree is good for exposing him to new environments and to start him socializing with other kids. we found out that he's not shy, he had no problem approaching the teacher and mingling with the other kids. he really liked all the balls, seeing bubbles and playing under the parachute. oh yeah, he got another haircut too. more reports to come later.
